Madhav Sharma nominated for best soap newcomer in the TV Choice Awards
Winterson’s actor, Madhav Sharma, has been nominated in the category of Best Soap Newcomer in this year’s TV Choice Awards. The actor, who plays, Arshad Ahmed in the show, has also been nominated alongside fellow Eastenders cast members in the overall Best Soap category.
Voting is now open for the TV Choice awards, and Winterson’s is delighted to see that Madhav Sharma has been announced amongst the nominees in the prestigious Best Soap Newcomer category. If you haven’t already done so, you can cast your vote here.
Sharma is up against fellow Eastenders actors, Katie Jarvis, and Charlie Winter. The actor has been appearing in the show since the end of 2017, when he took up residency as part of the new family at 41 Albert Square. At the time of joining the soap, Sharma said:“It’s really great to be joining EastEnders and I’m excited to be part of the Ahmed family. The first continuing drama I starred in was on the BBC so this is like coming home for me. I’m really looking forward to playing Arshad.”
Clearly audiences and critics have also enjoyed Sharma’s performance, as highlighted by this recognition. The awards ceremony will take place later in the year, and you have until Friday 1stJune to cast your vote!
