Rustlers ad featuring Joe Etherington wins Gold Award at the British Arrows

Integrated television, online, and virtual reality Rustlers commercial, 80 Years of Torment, has taken the Gold Award in the Food category at the British Arrows Awards. The ad features Winterson’s actor, Joe Etherington, playing a downtrodden consumer in a series of pre-Rustlers Burgers historical settings.

Speaking about the win, Etherington said: “It’s great to hear that 80 Years of Torment has won these British Arrows awards. I’m very happy the teams at Droga5, Somesuch and Rustlers have been commended this way. Being beaten by policemen whilst in prosthetics and a wig is something I’m not going to forget very soon!”

The ad was made for Droga5 by Somesuch, and directed by Steve Rogers. It also won a Craft Arrow Award in the category of New Creative Team, based on a 360° 1952 virtual reality experience that was made to accompany the main ad.
