Summer Strallen talks to Mark Shenton at The Stage

Winterson’s actress, Summer Strallen, has given an in-depth interview to The Stage, speaking to London-based theatre critic, Mark Shenton. Within it, the Olivier nominated actress offers a unique insight into the industry, earnestly talking about the highs and lows of her journey.

Winterson’s is an avid reader of – and contributor to, the industry publication – and last year announced our dedication to the Equal Representation of Actresses (ERA) campaign through it. Indeed, in her recent interview, Strallen talks about making the switch to Winterson’s and the different perspective that being with a female-led agency can bring: “There was nothing wrong, but I needed a change, and it’s a different dynamic being with a woman now.”

It’s a great interview and also offers some practical advice into the psychology and process that can go into achieving success in the industry. You can read it in full on The Stage website here.

Summer has this week embarked upon a touring production of the Terry Johnson play Hysteria, playing the lead role of Jessica. The show runs until 20th May. Photo above is credited to Alastair Muir.
